Liability Insurance

Liability insurance pays to repair or replace the other driver's car and pays other people's medical expenses when you’re at fault in an accident. The current minimum liability limits are $30,000 for bodily injured, up to a total of $60,000 per accident, and $25,000 for property damage per accident. This basic coverage is called 30/60/25 coverage.

Bodily Injured (BI) Liability

Bodily Injury coverage provides protection if you injure someone and/ or if an injury in an accident results in death while operating a vehicle. It is important to carry Bodily Injury Coverage in your policy so you can prevent any lawsuit for the injuries that occurred during an accident.

Property Damage (PD) Liability

Property Damage Liability provides protection if your car damages someone else’s property. This includes any property damage done to a vehicle, house, business, etc. Property Damage Liability also pays for any legal defense costs if you are sued as a result of these damages.

Carrying Bodily Injury Liability and Property Damage Liability make up the state minimum required coverage for all Texas drivers.

Liability insurance does not pay to repair or replace damages to your vehicle and/or medical expenses you may incur in an accident at fault. It is because of this reason, we encourage you consider purchasing additional types of coverage such as: medical payments, collision, comprehensive, and uninsured/under-insured motorist.

Comprehensive & Collision insurance help cover the repairs or replacement of your car.

Comprehensive Insurance

Comprehensive insurance will protect your vehicle is it is damaged by something other than a collision (Automobile Crash). Comprehensive will cover incidents such as: fire, theft, vandalism, and a collision with an animal or other covered perils.

Collision Insurance

Collision insurance is a coverage that will repair damages to your vehicle when your cat hits, or is hit by another object. In order to repair your vehicle you will pay a deductible. At Payless Auto Insurance we offer a variety of deductibles that you can choose from. You can have the option to choose for a low deductible, or you can opt in for a higher deductible in order to reduce your premium.

Deductible

Deductible is the term used to describe the amount of out- of- pocket expenses you are responsible for to cover the repairs to your vehicle.  The most common deductible amount includes $250, $500, or $1,000. Keep in mind the lower the deductible is on your policy, the higher the premium. The higher the deductible is, the lower your premium.

Lienholder

A lienholder is commonly added to the policy when you are financing a vehicle through a dealership or a bank. In most cases, you will be notified by the lender if you are required to add a lienholder. This is a service that is free of cost, so if you don’t add the lienholder when initiating the policy you can always do it after.
